LoganWorm's Survivor: China is the fourth season of the LoganWorm's Survivor group. Applications for the season began on April 19th, 2014. They were evaluated until April 19th, 2014-the same day- and the cast was chosen. The cast was announced the same day and the premiere and the game premiered the next day on April 20th, 2014. Survivor: China currently holds the record for the shortest application process at only two days. It was set in the Zhelin Reservoir in China. The game had its finale on May 8th, 2014, less than a month later.

The sixteen contestants, referred to as "castaways", were originally split up into two tribes of eight. These tribes were named Xiong Mao and Long, panada and dragon respectively, two figures important to Chinese culture and image. They represent the name of the camps and the separate teams with immunity and tribal council. This was the second consecutive season to feature a tribal switch, where the castaways had a mix-up and had new tribe configurations, but unlike previously in Survivor: Brazil, the tribe numbers were not kept the same on purpose. The merged tribe was named by the nine castaways who made the merge. They named the tribe Hwang Ho. After 39 days of competition, Old Newz was given the title of Sole Survivor, defeating Joey Tortellini on a 4-3 vote.

Chris Stoner and Glinda Nessarose tied on the Fan Favorite, making them both Fan Favorites. LoganWorm gave the Player of the Season award to Danny Shadow.

Twists/ChangesEdit

  • Entrance Individual Immunity Necklaces: At the beginning of the game both tribes were notified that at each camp was a riddle and if solved correctly first obatined an individual immunity necklace to be awarded to the person who solved the riddle. This necklace would be used at each person's first respective tribal council where there was a vote. One tribe ended up having a person solve the riddle, so the other tribe voted on a tribe leader to receive the necklace.
  • Tribe Switch: The season had a twist where the tribes switched members. In a random order the castaways picked their buffs out of a hat and then switched or stayed on a tribe based on the buff they picked out. The tribe numbers didn't change because both tribes were even, but regardless of if that would have happened the tribes would have been an even six members to six members.
  • Late Merge: For the first time in this series the tribes merged with nine people left instead of ten people left. This means people were on their original tribes for about nine days due to Andie's medical evacuation and then their switched tribes for about nine days.

SummaryEdit

Sixteen castaways entered the Chinese landscape on two boats divided into two tribes fighting for the title of Sole Survivor and a million dollars. The two tribes were Xiong Mao and Long. For the next thirty nine days they would have to survive the wilderness and each other. In the beginning of the game two individual immunity necklaces were offered to the first castaway to solve a riddle at each respective camp before the first immunity challenge. Shortly into the game, Andie had to be removed to the game due to an Illness she had. At Xiong Mao, Jette successfully guessed "Dragon", which is the English word for Long, but at Long no one could solve the riddle. At the immunity challenge Long was instructed to vote a tribe leader and that person would receive the individual immunity necklace. Chris was voted as the tribe leader, so Jette and Chris were safe from tribal council. An alliance on each tribe seemingly controlled the game, but both sides left their options open for the future and this came in handy once a tribe switch occurred on the two evenly matched tribes at the Final Twelve. The two new tribes left two Xiong Mao members in a minority on Long and two Long members in a minority on Xiong Mao. When all hope was lost in the numbers, both tribes attended tribal council between the six days and each tribe voted out one of their majority numbers leaving hope back in the hands of the minority. However, both tribes were shocked to find out that they didn't merge at ten and therefore required a tribe to go to tribal council again and this left both original and switched Xiong Mao in the clear minority when the tribes merged into Hwang Ho at nine. Both original tribes stayed together in strategy, but in the end Xiong Mao convinced Glinda to flip on her original tribe members sending Matt, Cory, and Danny P home. Then the game changed when Chris called out Danny S for controlling the game and this left Xiong Mao in a game-changing position. They all decided to vote out Jette leaving five. Xiong Mao was still in the majority, but when Chris convinced Newz to flip and vote for Glinda, it was up to Joey T to decide whether it was best to take out Chris, a two time individual immunity winner and a good talker, or Glinda who was glued to Danny S for a Final Two alliance. Joey T decided to vote out the biggest threat-Chris and then the next tribal council, with Newz winning immunity and keeping his word true to Joey T, voted out Glinda, leaving the three original Xiong Mao at the end. When Newz won the final challenge, he voted out Danny S for being a threat and he made promises and good alliances with Joey T throughout the game. In the end both had a hard time convincing the jury who to vote for, but Newz won on a slim 4-3 vote leaving Joey T a Runner-Up.

CastawaysEdit

There were sixteen people, known as "castaways", that were divided into two tribes, Xiong Mao and Long. After seven castaways were voted out, the nine left merged into one tribe, Hwang Ho. Seven castaways made up the jury, who ultimately decided who would win the game and the title of Sole Survivor.
